Dazor formed in February of 2016 in a dingy basement in the heart of the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The alternative rock band were quick to hit the scene, with their debut EP/single "Back to the Lounge" recorded at Sonic Temple Recording Studio in Halifax by award winning audio engineer Darren Van Niekerk. Following the release of "Back to the Lounge", Dazor have been taking the stage and showcasing their collection of alternative rock music in venues across the Maritimes, earned features in Halifax based news paper "The Coast" along with receiving consistent airplay on Halifax's rock radio station, Q104 - as well as being participants in their 2017 Homegrown contest.
Climbing the ranks of the rock scene in Nova Scotia, with their eyes set on spanning across Canada; Dazor have coined their own sound by being known for their energetic live performances side-kicked by loud saturated guitars, heavy hitting drums, thumping bass lines and catchy choruses.
The band is influenced primarily by the grunge/alternative rock movement of the early to mid 90's by bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Radiohead and Oasis. Holding their own, Dazor incorporate their influences in a new and refreshing way, creating a unique sound that will surely have you grooving and coming back for more.
